¶ Asseco eSign – Electronic Document Signing and Delivery
The eSign service is designed for the electronic delivery of PDF documents and their signing or acceptance by users. It provides secure document delivery, status tracking, and electronic signing through a graphical signature or simple confirmation.
The goal is to provide a simple, clear, and secure mechanism for handling documents within both internal and customer processes.
¶ Main Features of eSign
- Signing PDF documents – documents can be signed either graphically or through confirmation (acceptance).
- Acceptance and consent – customers can answer a question directly in the application (e.g., Agree / Disagree).
- Document delivery and tracking – downloading a document records information about the time, user, and IP address.
- Secure download with 2FA – documents can be protected with a one-time PIN code with a time limit (e.g., 5 minutes).
- Transfer of documents to tablet/mobile – allows presenting the document to the customer on a tablet or mobile device for signing.
A document can be in one of the following states:
- Created – document ready to be sent
- Sent – document sent to eSign
- Read – recipient opened the document
- Signed – document signed or accepted
- Rejected – document rejected
- Expired – link to the document expired
- Downloaded – document downloaded by the user
When registering a document in eSign (within a specific application implementing eSign), the following parameters are defined:
- Number of downloads (link is deactivated after reaching the limit)
- Link expiration time
- Two-factor authentication (PIN)
- Defined question and possible answers
¶ Document Download and Tracking
For each document download, the following information is recorded:
- date and time,
- user,
- IP address,
- number of downloads.
¶ Document Signing and Acceptance
Supported actions include:
- Graphical signature
- Document acceptance (e.g., Agree/Disagree)
- Confirmation via question (a predefined question and answer options are displayed)
PDF signing is performed through the Syncfusion SignaturePad UI (Demo: Signature UI).
- Users can preview the document before signing.
- The document can be secured with two-factor authentication – the user receives a time-limited PIN.
- After signing, the date, time, and signature are recorded and electronically added to the document.
The application can send a document to eSign in a mode without PIN verification, allowing it to be displayed on a tablet or mobile device for customer signing.
- After registration, eSign returns a link displayed in the application as a QR code.
- The customer opens the document on a mobile/tablet and signs it graphically directly on the device.
eSign provides a unified, secure, and flexible mechanism for electronic signing and delivery of documents within both internal and customer processes.
